sakura sushi house

A BIG good news for everyone that fancy Japanese food...
through the recommendation from Elysia during the Confair HICOM meeting, she mentioned about this small house that are selling Japanese food with great cheap price..
indeed, after planning it for quite long, me and my bf went there and try their food..
actually the main point is that the price of the food are cheap..
here it is.. Sakura Sushi House..

nice teapot...

this is our table.. we are placed in a small room which has 3 tables that fits 4 person for each table.. and the space in that small house is really limited.. there are approximately 7 tables only..

two more tables at the back of the house..

the longest table.. lol... can fit for 5 person..

the menu... sorry if its not so clear..wording are quite small.. (please double click for bigger image)

the bento menu..

side dishes menu..
so we ordered 3 sushis at first... which is the unagi sushi, inari sushi and the ebi tempura sushi.. my favorite is the unagi sushi and ebi tempura sushi.. gosh... the unagi is very nice and feels like it can melt in your mouth... and guess what.. the price for that sushi is only RM3!!! damn cheap..

this is the ebi tempura sushi that i mentioned.. tastes very good.. and the prawns is crispy and fresh.. this sushi cost us RM3 too... dirt cheap!! haha... but.. there's one thing la.. though the price is cheap, the quality of the rice may not be as good as other ordinary Japanese restaurant.. but i'm still in love with this place.. because the sushi is delicious to me.. i love it..

this is what I have ordered.. which is my all time favorite Unagi Bento.. i love unagi no matter what.. this bento costs me RM9.. again.. it's so cheap.. but i think although it's cheap, but the amount of unagi served is only a small portion.. because the price of unagi is quite expensive though... the side dishes in this bento are tuna and salad consists of cherry tomato, cucumber.. with the dressing of the sauce that tasted like sesame oil..

next is dear's bento.. he ordered this fried prawns and fish bento for RM9 also.. he says he likes it too.. because the fish and prawns are really fresh and deep fried very crispy.. not to forget to mention... the price range of all bento(s) are from RM4.50 to RM9.00!!!!

this is the second time we order the ebi tempura sushi.. because its damn cheap and taste good.. so its very worth it to order for the second time.. hehe.. im not sure why it looks different compared to the first time we ordered it.. maybe the lady forgotten to put black sesame seeds for the first order.. lol..

my bf was not full enough and then he ordered this.. which is the sweet and sour cold noodles, for RM5.. the portion was quite big and the sauce has quite a unique taste.. haven't tried this type of sauce before in other Japanese restaurant.. in the noodle consists of eggs, sweet tofu skin (Inari) and some cucumber and bean sprouts..
we were damn full up after eating all those... and the bill was freaking cheap!! total of RM34 without service charge and government tax.. haha.. i'm so happy and glad that i found this restaurant.. XD

this is how Sakura Sushi House looks like from the outside...
for those who are interested.. it is better that you make a reservation and order first before you come.. we were damn lucky that day because there's not many people.. but usually on the weekends, it will be full house because the spaces there are limited.. haha.. the lady boss told us that no matter weekend or weekday.. it is better that you make a reservation.. or not later no place to sit then who is gonna to be blamed? LOL...

please call Mr. John Chong for reservations.. ^^

the map to reach Sakura Sushi House.. i know its very blur.. so this is it..

the way to go to Sakura:
1. From King's Hotel's traffic light, go straight heading towards the Bukit Katil's JPJ office.
2. When you see a traffic light, turn right.
3. Go straight until you see a traffic light and turn left.
4. Then go straight until you see a traffic light and turn left.
5. You can see there's many shop houses on your right side.
6. On your right hand side after the shop houses, you will see a junction heading towards a housing area.
7. Go straight until the end, and you will see Sakure Sushi House on you right hand side.. *the house is with 2 Japanese style TangLung*

Sakura House is opened everyday from Monday to Sunday, 6pm-10pm.. so don't be late!! hehe

there you go.. hope you will like the food there.. and spend wise when eating Japanese food..
haha..
happy us!

sunday funday

its sunday!!
and its so long ago since i enjoyed day time outing with my dear around malacca town..
since its Sunday, so we planned on the day before to go for breakfast at Renaissance..
honestly speaking, i really miss the Dim Sums there alot.. although its expensive than other ordinary shops out there, but the the dim sum there is the best i've ever tasted and although i'm on diet (T.T), but the dim sum can last until dinner time.. so that's the best thing.. no need to crack our minds to think what to eat for lunch or tea time..
overall 90% of their dimsums are with prawns.. and not one piece inside, u can feel its full of prawns when u chew it in your mouth.. yum yum...
we arrived there around 10.30am.. its kinda full house when we reached there.. waited around 10-15 minutes and we got our table..

this is the 水饺 (dumpling), not bad.. but the soup has some kind of "floury" taste.. don't know how to describe its taste.. lol
this is my all time favorite dimsum.. which is the shark's fin dimsum.. the prawns inside is damn crunchy and sweet and fresh.. !! love it..

dear with his napkin.. hehe

me enjoying dimsums.. hehe

after few rounds of dimsum.. my bf found out this
no kidding lor.. u really can order food from the "big" menu for FREE!

and this is the "big" menu.. but not bad lahh.. all this worth few ringgits if you order it at outside.. besides, its hotel.. so i guess the food will be pretty okay.. so we ordered a plate of Fried Green Vegetables with Garlic since we're too full up for kuey tiow or noodles..

taste okay.. just a simple plate of "chai sim".. or sawi.. haha.. we're so tam jiak.."贪吃“(greedy).. coz even we're already very full.. still wanna order and gain the experience of free food.. lol

i don't know why i felt like the previos time we dine in and it cost us not as expensive as we paid yesterday.. i remembered the previos one was about rm50 somethin.. and yesterday the bill was rm60 somethin.. but i guess its worth it.. hehe.... FYI.. the price per person is RM28, plus the tea for 1 person cost RM1.50.. and some extra charges for service charge and government tax.

so after that, i suggested that we go and visit the Baba House/Musuem which was filmed in the "Little Nyonya" (小娘惹) drama.. but unfortunately, we can't capture any photos inside the musuem.. sigh.. i thought i can blog more about nyonya stuff.. but.. sigh.. nevermind.. we are still able to capture some picts through peeping from the window and snap pictures of the house from outside.. feels so kelian.. what to do.. its a private musuem anyway..

the owner of the musuem..

this is it.. from far view.. this is the musuem where i recognize its ancestral hall is filmed in the Little Nyonya drama.. i remember the word "追远" in the drama.. hehe

outside of the musuem.. i edited this pict black and white so it will look more like the olden days.. haha.. love it..
this is the first house with the antique chairs and table decoration..

if any of you are interested to know more about Baba and Nyonya culture.. u can have a visit in the musuem and rm8 will be charged for adults while rm4 for children. They will have a "tour guide" there to explain what are the usage of things in the house.. both upstairs and downstairs.. actually its quite interesting to know about Baba and Nyonya culture.. even now im half of Nyonya.. i prefer nyonya culture rather than Hokkien.. because Nyonya culture seems to be very interesting and the houses are nice and decorated with antiques..
the musuem is nice.. but just that i feel its a lil bit errie because they have few fake models wearing Baba and Nyonya clothing.. and also a hall which explains the death and funeral culture of Baba and Nyonya..

while on the way back riding motorbike..
my bf stopped and capture a picture at Kg. Pantai.. and he captured this pict.. i edited it and it looks like where its still at the 1960's.. haha.. and so coincidently an ah pek pass by riding a bicycle.. the feeling back to 1960's is deeper.. haha.. *thumbs up* dear...

golden olden days when we were young and alive.. lol..

for today(Monday), I was kinda free and thought of cooking sambal petai with prawns..
it was my first time cooking sambal petai.. it tastes not too bad, where my uncle says its nice, and my bf said the petai was abit raw.. but i think is okay.. is acceptable for us, Baba and Nyonya.. haha.. and not the Hakka where they like to eat softer petai..

big amount of chillies to spice up his taste bud.. hehe..

red onions, garlic and belachan..
blended with chillies.. and there's the tamarind water.. petai and prawns..

and the end result:
tadaa... a bowl of spicy and sweet sambal petai with prawns.. hehe

that's all for today..
ngek ngek... smelly mouth after eating petai.. Burrrpp...
LOL..

randomness

i've been abandoning this blog for bout a month plus already.. maybe its time for some updates..
i can see that many of my course mates or people that are in the same batch as me are quite busy with their internship.. and i can see they are learning quite many things during their internship period.. filing, photostating, sales, etc.. all of that are boring jobs, but then its part of the experience..
for my internship, my task is to do field work, which means to interview respondents based on what project we get.. from my first project until now, i think this job is kinda fun, but suffering at the same time, especially if we have to do it door-to-door.. where the sun is super-duper hot, and you have to bear the hotness, and calling people from door-to-door.. and 80% of people will reject you.. and at the end of the day, you will get sore throat, thick dead skin under your feet and a tanned skin with a tanned line on your arms.. *sigh.. i will never ever get to wear sleeveless anymore*
but maybe for my job, i can be considered as the lucky one.. where not everyday i need to work and there's is no such thing as i must reach the office by 9am.. even my supervisor reaches the office at about 10 somethin in the morning.. and the supervisor is quite friendly to me.. willing to teach me things that i don't understand, its cool... but sometimes if i didn't work for many days, i'll get bored and jealous of others that are working everyday... nahh.. i don't know.. maybe i'm just feeling a lil bit guilty... but... ahhh.... guilty for what la... not say i dun wanna work, is that my supervisor didn't give me tasks to complete ma.. lol..
i kinda like the recent project which is the cigarette project.. where we need to call up respondents who are smoking Marlboro and Dunhill FF currently.. and they will get the chance to come to our office and try 3 sticks of cigarette while they will be rewarded of RM20 cash! If i were a smoker, i think that its a gift for me.. not only testing new cigarettes, but also being paid rm20 to try it...

another update... when i was browsing on facebook today, i saw my friend's profile posted a news on Megan Fox, sexy hunny chic for the movie Transformers.... is a MAN!!
omfg... all the guy in the world will very terrifying disappointed la.. haha
click here for the news.. when i told my bf bout this, he said: "no wonder Rain don't wanna accept her la.. because she's a tranny.. and he have seen many trannies in his country alrdy, and why wanna accept another tranny from the other country?" LOL..

another one more update.. today i added a new friend in FB and i am really glad to know that she is making a business by selling cupcakes.. i was so tempted when i saw her blog because i really hope someday, one day, maybe my bf could bake for me or even buy it for me with cute decos on the cupcakes.. i want it colorful and cute.. haha.. and now i've found one which i can get it because its so near to me.. it is operating around Bkt. Beruang area.. so, i guess one day i shall try it.. if it tastes real good, i'm gonna buy it again.. hehe...

i am really hoping that i can go KL to shop during this Mega Sales period.. Hui San told me that she will be going to KL and shop maybe on this Saturday.. so envy her..
how im gonna shop where my gaji belum keluar lagi.. somore im so not in shape.. sigh.. still working hard to exercise everyday.. hoping that i will be better in shape by September..
i hate people being judgemental on my size.. why isn't there a medicine that can work in miracle where people eat it today and be slim and sexy the next day? sigh..

few random piccas..

its my eyes!! i likey that color.. the flash just shines at the correct moment but i managed to capture it on one side of my eyes only..

beautiful nyonya baba houses in Melaka.. only available in Malacca i think.. i hope when next time i get old, those houses are still around.. as it is considered as history by the ages.. ahaha.. crap... okay la.. actually this was taken at Coconut House, where they are selling thin crust pizzas.. yumm yummy.. me and my bf went there for our 1 and half year anniversarry celebration.. since i was craving for its salmon pasta.. slurrpp...

this is the eggie pizza... delicios.. and for the pasta i did not take any photo of it because of 2 reasons.. first, the camera phone is in low batt, and second, both of us are too hungry.. when the spaghetti arrives, both of us can't wait and just "hantam" it.. lol.. its really yummy.. the spaghetti over there are highly recommended, either its red sauce or white sauce, it tastes really really good.. but one thing, price is kinda exp tho.. about RM19 per portion.. and the portion for the salmon is not as big as the first time i ate.. nevermind.. still worth it because it tasted so good..

this is my bao bei.. waiting for our food to arrive.. hehe.. smile more next time k? muakss.

me eating coconut.. hehe

malacca nite view at jonker street is so nice.. agree? hehe

in jonker walk on a random Friday..

i was waiting for my cha tao kueh (carrot cake) order.. jonker's cha tau kueh is the best that i've ever tasted.. even the pasar malam 1 also kalah alrdy.. tastes really good.. don't play play ahh...

on one random day me and my bf went and fly kite at stadium Tun Fatimah.. the kite really sux and the weather might be not suitable for kiting... haha... we went after the rain stopped.. so.. i guess its not the right day.. while i ruined the kite where i landed the kite in the pond.. hahaha.. the string is way too long and i was too late to pull the string before it landed.. so the kite just died there.. poor thing.. lol.. promise to get a better one for the next kiting outing.. hehe

this pict was captured by my bf.. haha..this cat is incredibly adorable.. its not dead.. its SLEEPING! weird posture i can say..
our specs.. hehe.. couple specs pulak eh.. love it.. lovey dovey us..

i love this pict of us... i think i look nice in here thats why i like this pict.. haha..

thats all for today... i don't know next update will be when.. muahaha..
saranghae..
